A Tribute to Max

Max was our friend and part of our family for almost 15 years.

He...Snuck chocolate anywhere he could find it.

Drooled on the couch.

Chased the cat up the fig tree and spread the tree, dirt and all, from one side of the living room to the other.

Got into the trash more times than I can count.

Pulled a chicken casserole dish, soapy water and all, out of the sink.

Chewed socks, especially smelly ones, to bits.

Had absolutely no patience with a "pedicure" .

But...

He...Watched over us day and night.

Was always happy to see us.

Listened to our sad stories and kissed away our tears.
Let the kids, the cats and puppies crawl all over him.

Shared his bed and each of ours.

And loved us as much as we loved him!
