My "New" Sewing Machine...

A few months ago when I was browsing through a flea market near Savannah, Georgia with one of my daughters a sweet old machine caught my eye. It was in great condition and running, and though I knew it probably wasn't worth alot, I just sort of fell for it. It didn't hurt that I got it for a song. When I did a serial number search it turned out that this sweet little Singer was made in Scotland in 1949. That was the year my parents got married so my heart strings were tugged a little bit more.
My daughter (good kid that she is) just delivered it to me when she came home for Thanksgiving. So now I'm cleaning it and fiddling with it and I must say that I'm smitten.

Getting Ready for Market...

It's hard to believe...especially with all the snow on the ground here in Virginia that it's time to start thinking about the Reston Market that starts in May.
I'm excited about some new items to my line and some great new fabric finds!
I can hardly wait!
